Captain Ethan Brannock is a highly experienced fishing charter captain serving Bradenton, Anna Maria Island, and the greater Tampa Bay area. With over 20 years of hands-on fishing experience along Florida’s west coast and into the Florida Keys, Ethan has developed deep local knowledge of inshore, nearshore, and offshore fisheries throughout the Gulf of Mexico.
Raised fishing and diving off Anna Maria Island, Ethan has spent his life studying tides, seasonal fish patterns, structure, and species behavior. He skillfully targets snook, redfish, trout, tarpon, snapper, grouper, sharks, tuna, mahi, and other Gulf Coast species using a combination of live bait, cut bait, and artificial techniques depending on conditions and target species. Ethan understands that successful fishing is a science — every species requires the right presentation, location, and timing.
Over the years, Captain Ethan has discovered productive local fishing grounds throughout Tampa Bay and surrounding Gulf waters, and he takes pride in sharing these spots and techniques with his guests to create a true “fish like a local” experience.

His fishing journey began at just 3 years old fishing alongside his father, and he completed his first scuba dive around age 13. Becoming a PADI professional was a lifelong goal, fueled by his deep respect for the ocean and Florida’s coastal ecosystem.

Beyond putting clients on fish, Captain Ethan enjoys educating guests about marine life, local habitats, and the diverse wildlife found throughout Bradenton and Anna Maria Island waters. Whether guiding beginners on their first inshore fishing charter or leading experienced anglers offshore for trophy fish, Ethan delivers a safe, professional, and memorable experience.
When he’s not diving or running fishing charters in Tampa Bay and the Gulf of Mexico, you’ll find him exploring new fishing grounds and refining techniques to stay ahead of seasonal fish movements.
