Bad Weather Conditions & Cancellations
High Winds Cancellation Notice
Safety is our top priority for all passengers and crew members on board our boats. While bad weather can occur unexpectedly, and we cannot control it, we always prepare accordingly. We have a deep respect for nature's power and take it very seriously. For this reason, we strongly advise against fishing when waves exceed 2.5 to 3 feet and are rising, or when winds are stronger than 15 mph. Such conditions can be both dangerous and uncomfortable, and our primary goal is to ensure that everyone has a safe, pleasant, and enjoyable trip on the water.
Rain Or Shine Policy
Our Captains reserve the absolute and unconditional right to cancel a trip at ANY TIME if unfavorable weather or any unsafe conditions arise, always prioritizing your safety and well-being above everything else. We start every trip with the clear intention of completing the entire duration of the charter time that has been booked and paid for. In the event that thunderstorms, heavy rains, or other dangerous weather conditions develop, we will make every possible and reasonable effort to navigate around them and avoid any hazardous situations. However, it is important for all guests to understand that this precaution is not always feasible or guaranteed. If the situation demands, our captains will promptly and decisively end the trip early and ensure that all passengers are safely and quickly returned to the dock. Should we need to cut the trip short due to rain, lightning, or any other safety concerns, we will make the appropriate and fair adjustments to the price to accurately reflect the reduced time spent on the water.
Sea Sickness Cancellation Rules
Sometimes people experience sea sickness, and we fully understand how uncomfortable and unpleasant that can be for the person affected. Although it is not very common to get sea sick, when it does happen, the clients need to decide whether to call off the trip and head back to the dock. The person who books the charter assumes responsibility for everyone in the fishing party. While we will do our best to provide basic comfort measures for the sea sick individual, please note that our captains are committed to fishing for the entire duration of the booked trip if all members of the party are comfortable staying out on the water. Captains do not plan to stop or cut the trip short due to sea sickness unless the entire party agrees to return to the dock.
If a trip is ended early due to sea sickness, you will be charged a 4-hour trip. For inshore fishing charters, the minimum charge is the standard 4-hour fishing charter rate, including the per-person fee, which amounts to at least $500.00. The deep sea trip will be a minimum charge of $1,000 for the 4 hour deep sea trip. Any trips lasting longer than 4 hours will be billed from the time the boat left the dock until the time it returned, following the standard hourly rate for charters.
Please be aware that we are not medical professionals and cannot provide medical advice. Motion sickness medications are available over the counter and through physicians. Those who are prone to motion sickness should consider discussing the use of such products with their local doctor before embarking on a deep sea fishing charter.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for understanding that our goal is to keep everyone safe while ensuring we all have a fun and enjoyable time together!
